Q: What causes the Rainbow™proofer to not show in the Chooser?

  1. When the Rainbow™ software is not running, the Rainbow™ proofer will not show on the network. Launch the Rainbow™ software.
  2. If spooling is turned off in the Rainbow™ Queue menu, the Rainbow™ proofer will not show on the network. In this case, select "Resume Spooling".
  3. On rare occasions, the name in preferences that the Rainbow™ system uses so that the proofer shows in the Chooser has become corrupted. In this case, the name should be overwritten, the Rainbow™ software quit and then relaunched.
  4. If the Rainbow™ software is running on the same Macintosh™ computer as the application software, the Rainbow™ proofer does not normally show in the Chooser. In some cases it does show in the Chooser.
